Celebrity Tattoos: Angelina Jolie
In search engine, the keyword "celebrity tattoo" is a very popular demands. While the search result also provide significant output in about 650.000 results. And the keyword search for actress, female, or woman are slightly higher than for the actor. Maybe people now thinking that lady with a tattoo is no longer a taboo, and lots even think that it's sexy.
So, from now I will write about celebrity's tattoos in this blog. It will featuring celebs with unique tattoo, both male or female. Tattoo has become an integral part with the celebrity life style.
We will start with the most popular one: Angelina Jolie
She has at the very least, a dozen tattoos, and shows no signs of slowing down her collecting.
Her tattoos are a reflection of her personality, exotic and with more than just a hint of dangerous sensuality. A woman who professes she likes to play with knives in bed and had the name of the man she loved tattooed on her. And when he exits stage left, she doesn't hesitate to have it lasered off just as quickly.
These numbers are the geographical coordinates (longitudes and latitudes) from the locations where her children first entered her life.
N11° 33' 00" E104° 51' 00" : the place in Cambodia where Angelina Jolie's eldest son Maddox was born.
N09° 02' 00" E038° 45' 00" : the place in Ethiopia were her daughter Zahara was born.
S22° 40' 26" E014° 31' 40" : the place in Namibia (Swakopmund) where Angelina gave birth to her biological daughter with Brad Pitt, Shiloh, was born.
N10° 46' 00" E106° 41' 40" : the place in Vietnam where Angelina's son Pax Thien was born.
This Gothic letter tattoo between her shoulder blades says "Know Your Rights".
It's the title of a song of her favorite band.
This is a 12-inch long, 8-inch wide Bengal tiger tattoo on her lower back. It was done in Bangkok on July 8, 2004, during a 2 hour session by tattoo artist Sompong Kanhphai who also blessed it by chanting an ancient hymn.
Sompong also did her Khmer tattoo. She had this tattoo done to celebrate her Cambodian citizenship.
The tiger tattoo was done in the traditional Thai tattoo style with a manual needle. The tiger's tail covers her blue window tattoo.
This tattoo on her left shoulder blade was, just like the tiger tattoo, done by tattoo artist Sompong Kanhphai in a hotel in Pathum Thani, 16 miles north of Bangkok. It is a Buddhist Pali incantation written in Khmer script, the language of Cambodia. It is there to protect her and her adopted Cambodian son Maddox from bad luck.
Here's the translation:
"May your enemies run far away from you.
If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always.
Your beauty will be that of Apsara.
Wherever you may go, many will attend,
serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides."
There are a nice and unique collection of tattoos she's got, right? She still got many tattoos on her body, the big and small ones, which I just can't show it all here. She also got some of her tattoos removed, like the one which says "Billy Bob", the name of her previous husband Billy Bob Thornton.

Angelina Jolie - Flying High in Thigh High Boots
With full deep pouty lips, deep set blue eyes and long legs - 5' 8", Angelina Jolie is not only a very accomplished actress, but a fashion icon as well.
From wearing very sexy thigh high boots in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, to wearing futuristic garb as the character Lara Croft in both Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tom Raider: The Cradle of Life, Angelina Jolie excels at new and unusual fashion statements.
Angelina Jolie is surely one of the most, if not the most, tattooed women celebrity actresses.
Although her tattoos come and go with her various relationships, Angelina Jolie sports at least a dozen tattoos.
Angelina has made the tribal dragon one of the most popular tattoos for women.
One of her most noteworthy earlier projects was the television movie Gia, were she played the part of supermodel Marie Carangi a gorgeous Philadelphia native who arrives in New York City to become a model and immediately makes an impression on high-powered agent Wilhelmina Cooper. This part won her the Golden Globe, SAG Award- Best Leading Actress in 1998.
Angelina Jolie also won the Golden Globe, SAG Award, and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Lisa Rowe in the movie Girl, Interrupted in 1999.
Prior to her film career, Angelina Jolie worked as a professional model in London, New York and Los Angeles.
